Write On Learning: A reading and writing program for students at Trinity. In grade-level groups, students read novels and then give written responses to what they have read. During eight-week sessions, students build their comprehension, vocabulary, and writing skills. Students analyze plots, setting, characters, and themes through both fact and opinion. This gives participants the opportunity to strengthen their ability to express themselves through writing.
Abrakadoodle: The imaginative Abrakadoodle art education curriculum was developed by artists and educators and exceeds the National Standards for Visual Arts Education. Art classes are designed for children of all abilities. Students paint, draw, sculpt, design, imagine, sketch and explore using a wide variety of artist materials and techniques, all in an atmosphere of fun and success.
F.A.S.T Athletics: Athletic programs for all skill levels where everyone is encouraged as well as motivated to be the best they can be. Students will increase their confidence, aerobic activity, and develop a greater sense of teamwork, and sportsmanship, but most importantly improvement of overall fitness.
Mad Science: Science programs are themed around particular areas of science and include such topics as rocketry, magnets, polymers, and even the science of toys. Students are encouraged to give science a try and build their very own model rockets, periscopes, Mad Science putty, and more.
Chessnuts: Students learn and play chess. Classes are geared to offering children friendly competition, challenging their minds, improving their skills, enjoying the camaraderie of others their age, and having fun. Studies have shown that playing chess not only increases confidence and self-esteem, but it also improves reading levels, math scores, and overall school grades.
Zumba: Zumba is a dance fitness program that involves dance and aerobic elements. Zumba’s choreography incorporates hip-hop, soca, samba, salsa, merengue, mambo, martial arts, and some Bollywood and belly dance moves.
LEGO’s: Students develop create and construct models of towers, buildings, machines of all kinds that really work. They learn to apply math and science to real world situations and develop critical thinking and problem solving skills. Students build self-esteem and most importantly have fun!
Soccer Shots: A high energy, fun, age-appropriate introduction to the wonderful game of soccer. The innovative curriculum emphasizes both soccer skills and character development.
Sounds of Praise (Grades 2-5): A choral experience built on the joy of singing. The students glorify God with the gifts He has given us. Students learn the fundamentals of sight-singing, healthy vocal production and many wonderful songs as they develop and share their talents.
Cherub Choir (Grades K–1): Students learn the basics of music in a fun and nurturing environment through singing, movement, and games.
Bowling (Grades 5-8): Students travel to the local bowling alley and are provided a structured environment with coaches and supervision where they can have fun and learn to bowl with their friends.
