I look forward to seeing all of you at Back to School Night.

There will be a vocabulary test on Friday September 20. Much of the homework will be vocabulary. The unit is on Google classroom.

Students should be reading for their independent book project due on October 3rd.

ELA 6th GRADE: Sixth grade will continue to review nouns and capitalization. We will correct paragraphs that we completed last week. Students will read some reading comprehension and informational texts. They will also create another paragraph using these texts.

ELA 7th GRADE: Students in seventh grade will review capitalization and nouns. They will read short stories and study exposition. If time permits, they will read some informational texts.

ELA 8th GRADE: The eighth graders are reading Civil War literature. We are finishing up an essay about Harriet Tubman and will conclude with two poems. Next, we will compose an essay based on the book Pink and Say, which will contrast and compare the two characters.

Religion: We are continuing to read unit 1 in the workbooks. There will be a quiz the quote Isaiah 44:6 page 9 in the workbook.
