6th Gr ELA: This week the sixth graders are continuing to read THE WATSONS GO TO BIRMINGHAM. Students will discuss segregation as part of the novel. This week we will begin to look adjectives and how to make our descriptive writing more colorful. Finally, students will learn how to write a letter, and write a letter thanking the staff at Camp Herrlich for a wonderful retreat experience.

7th Gr ELA: The students in seventh grade are in the middle of THE WEDNESDAY WARS. They will look at the allusion to Shakespeare in the novel. We will review adjectives and why we use them. Students will review letter writing skills and write to the Camp Herrlich to thank them for a great retreat.

8th Gr ELA: The eighth graders are finishing the novel, THE OUTSIDERS. We will analyze symbolism, conflict and theme in the novel this week. In conclusion we will review adjectives.

7th Gr Religion: The students will have a memory test, Psalm 122:1. We are going to discuss Martin Luther and Reformation this week.
