This week there will be a vocabulary test on unit 4 on Friday, November 8th.
Students have an independent book report due on Tuesday, December 4th.Please make sure your child has selected a book and is reading independently for the month of November. Students may select a book from my library in class.
ELA 6th Grade: We have finished our in class novel and are discussing the themes and the conflict in the story. The students are reviewing adjectives and adverbs this week. Students will work on an opinion essay in class. We will read from Scholastic News.
ELA 7th Grade: The seventh graders are still working on The Wednesday Wars. We are discussing how the character has evolved over the course of the story. We will review adjectives and adverbs.
ELA 8th Grade: Students are going to read literature that looks at immigration. This unit helps the children understand why people wanted to and still want to come to America. We are reviewing adjectives and adverbs.
Religion 7th Grade: We are reviewing Unit 2 and will have a test on Thursday. There will not be a memory quiz this week. The students will begin studying unit 3 this week.
