There will be a vocabulary test on Unit 9 on Friday, Feb.28th. Much of the homework will be vocabulary, in addition to the Outlines due on Thursday, Feb. 27th.
Students will finish their research this week and begin to create an outline, due by Thursday, Feb. 27th. There will be a conjunction quiz on Thursday as well.
Looking Ahead: We will begin to read a novel as a class beginning March 2nd. This will serve as the required reading.
6th grade: Freak the Mighty; 7th grade: Fever; 8th grade: Inside Out and Back Again.
6th Grade: We will be working on our outlines in class. Students will review conjunctions.
7th Grade: Students will begin working on their outlines in class, but then will complete them at home. They will review conjunctions and begin a short story- “After Twenty Years.
8th Grade: Eighth graders will work on their outlines in class, but complete them at home. They will review conjunctions and begin a short story, “Stop the Sun.”
7th Grade: Students are continuing to read unit 5 in the workbooks. There will be a memory quiz on Thursday, Feb. 26- see Google classroom.
