The true light that gives light to everyone was coming into the world. He was in the world, and though the world was made through him, the world did not recognize him. He came to that which was his own, but his own did not receive him. John 1:9-11

The November book project is due on Tuesday, December 4th. For December students will be reading a book as a class. Books will be given this week.

Due to the middle school field trip, students will have their spelling test on Thursday, December 6th.

This week students will review fragments and begin to study prepositions.

6th Grade ELA Sixth grade students will finish their persuasive essays. They will correct their letters for a higher grade. They will begin to read, Freak the Mighty.

7th Grade ELA Students in seventh grade will correct their letters. They will begin to read a novella by Max Lucado, An Angel’s Story.

8th Grade ELA The eighth graders will begin the week by reading “Stop the Sun.” It will introduce the subject of Vietnam war, told from a boy trying to understand his father’s PTSD. Then they will be given the book Inside Out and Back Again…a story told from a Vietnamese refugee’s point of view.

7th Grade Religion: We are continuing in Unit 3 which studies creation, angels and heaven and hell. On Thursday, there will be a memory test on Ephesians 4:24
“Put on the new self, created after the likeness of God in true righteousness and holiness.”
