This week we will be reviewing the number 6, the color purple, and the oval shape. We will read Harold and the Purple Crayon by Crockett Johnson, and draw our own purple crayon adventures.

We will learn about bats and learn some new vocabulary words including echolocation, nocturnal, and mammal. We will make bats using the rhombus shape, and read some fiction and non fiction books about bats including Five Little Bats Flying in the Night by Steve Metzger.

For Jesus time we will be learning about Abraham and his many blessings. We will sing praise songs including “My God is so Great”, and the “B-I-B-L-E”.

We will start a new theme in our curriculum that focuses on families. Books will include Bear’s Busy Family and Herman the Helper.

We will be working with the letter C this week and will meet a new friend Curly Caterpillar.

Remind that school is closed on Friday for professional development.

Have a blessed week.
