It’s hard to believe that this week starts December. As the weather gets colder we will continue to go outside, weather permitting. Please be sure to send in hats and gloves or mittens to keep warm outside.

Our Jesus time for the month of December begins with the angel Gabriel visiting Mary to tell her that she will be Jesus’ mother. We will begin to learn songs surrounding our theme “angels”, as we prepare for our Christmas program on the 15th of December.

This week we are working on a special Christmas gift for our families. We are also making Advent wreath’s and beginning a special Christmas counting book.

Our literature this week will focus on Christmas, beginning with two Gingerbread Man stories that we will compare and contrast, The Gingerbread Man by Karen Schmidt and The Gingerbread Man by Jim Aylesworth.

We will continue with our Community theme in our new curriculum. We are learning about people and places in our community and what types of jobs they have.

Have a blessed week!
