Greetings to one and all! Welcome to a new month and a fresh new week. Here are the updates for each of my classes.
7th Social Studies
This week we will be finishing up studying the regions of colonies in what is now the continental United States. After studying the 13 English colonies, we will finish with the Spanish colonies that bordered the English colonies. Then we will begin reviewing for the test on chapter 3, which will be on Wednesday, November 15th. The study guide will be posted in my class notes next week.
8th Social Studies
The eighth grade will be reviewing chapter 17, which was all about life in the “Old West.” The test will be on Friday, November 9th. Extra help will be on Friday morning, and you may view the study guide here.
8th Religion
On Monday, the students will be presenting their Tough Times Tool Kit projects. Then, the students will continue studying the journey of the People of Israel to the Promised Land, and we will be moving out of the book of Exodus into the book of Numbers. The memory verse for this week is Exodus 15:13, which is on page 31 of the student book.
