Before I get into the class updates, I would like to thank each you who signed up for a parent teacher conference. It is always good to discuss your children’s progress. Unfortunately the unexpected snow storm cut short the evening conferences, but if you would like to set up a meeting, please send me an email and I will get back to you as soon as possible.
7th Social Studies
In seventh grade, the students just took a test on the settlement of the English colonies, and before we get into our next unit of study, we will be doing some research to compare and contrast how our modern day Thanksgiving celebration with that of the Pilgrims.
8th Social Studies
The eighth grade social studies class will be looking at how at the turn of the 20th century, the Unites States shifted from being mostly rural farm communities to industrialized cities.
8th Religion
We are continuing to study the Israelite conquest of the Promised Land. Once again, there is no memory quiz this week.
