Greetings! This is just a regular week in my classes, so here are just a few brief updates.
7th Social Studies
This week the students are beginning chapter 8, which goes into the administrations of Presidents George Washington and John Adams, and the challenges that were faced by our young nation. There are no tests or quizzes this week.
8th Social Studies
In eighth grade, we are beginning our study of chapter 23, The Great Depression and The New Deal. We will especially focus on how the lives of Americans were affected, and how this too contributed to the start of World War II. There are no tests or quizzes.
8th Religion
Our religion lessons this week will primarily focus on the life and prophecies of Elijah. Since Thursday starts the third trimester, there is a new schedule of memory verses for the marking period, which can be viewed here. The verse for this week is Romans 5:8, which is on page 83 in the student book.
