Welcome back to a new week in a new month! Here are the plans for this week.

7th Social Studies

In seventh grade, we will be finishing up the Revolutionary War by studying the last battle in the southern part of the country. We will then begin reviewing for the chapter 6 test. The test is tentatively next Wednesday, February 13. More detail will be posted later this week.

8th Social Studies

The students in eighth grade are finishing up our study of America’s involvement in World War I. We will close out the study by looking at the Treaty of Versailles, which formally ended the war, and consequently led to World War II. The test in chapter 21, World War I, is tentatively next Tuesday, February 12th. More details will be posted later this week.

8th Religion

In religion class this week, we will begin studying King David. David was a faithful man of God, who despite his devotion to the Lord, still made many mistakes. We will talk about the fact that David repented for what he had done, and how God forgave him. The memory verse for this week is Isaiah 40:31, which is on page 69 in the student book, or here. The quiz is on Thursday, as per usual.
