Can you believe it’s already the first week of December?! We only have a few weeks until Christmas break, but lots accomplish. HEre are the plans for this week:

Seventh Social Studies

To start the week, the students are researching Gullah culture and are working on Google slides presentations in class. Each group will present in class on Tuesday. Then, we will finish the chapter on colonial life by studying the “new” religious and political ideas that became popular in 18th century America. They will take their test on chapter 4 on Thursday, December 13th. The study guide will be posted next week.

8th Social Studies

This week the students are reviewing for the test on Chapter 18, the growth of industry. The test will be on Thursday, December 6th. Extra help will be available Thursday morning before school. You may view the study guide here.

8th Religion

In religion this week, we are getting into the book of Joshua. We will study how God chose Rahab to protect his people and how God used unconventional battle plans to bring his people to victory at the Battle of Jericho. There is no memory verse this week.
