Greetings to one and all! This week the students will be taking the Terra Nova exams, so the class schedule will be changed to accommodate testing. That being said, here are the updates for this week.
7th Social Studies
Seventh grade social studies will not be meeting this week until Friday, when we will see how well they fare on a mock U.S. citizenship test. On Friday, March 29th, the students were given an open notes test which should be completed as a take home test. It will be collected on the morning of Monday, April 1st. If they do not return their tests, they will complete the test during recess on Monday.
8th Social Studies
This week marks the event that many in eighth grade have spent the last two years anticipating: We will begin studying World War II. Once again, due to testing, the schedule will be shifted, but we will get through the causes, early battles, and early American involvement.
8th Religion
First of all, the students all did a phenomenal job on their church design projects. They showed great creativity in their resources and designs. Who knew that you could create a digital design through a video game?! Amazing! This week we are continuing to study the kings of Israel and Judah, specifically Manasseh and Josiah. There is no memory verse for this week.
