Welcome back to a new week at Trinity! Since this is Holy Week, we will only have classes through Wednesday, so that will affect the content being taught this week. Here are the updates.

7th Social Studies

In Seventh grade social studies, we are studying the major conflicts of the Era of Thomas Jefferson. First, we will be looking at President Jefferson’s response to the Barbary Pirates, then we will learn about the War of 1812, which many historians consider a second Revolutionary War. Due to the short week, the test on this chapter will not be until after Easter.

8th Social Studies

This week we are studying the final World War II battles that caused Germany and Japan to surrender, as well as the discovery and liberation of the Nazi concentration camps. We will finish this chapter after Easter, which will culminate with our trip to the Nassau County Holocaust Museum and Memorial.

8th Religion

This week we are studying the lessons found in the Book of Jonah, as then we will reading about the events of the Passion- Christ’s arrest, crucifixion, and rising from the dead.
