Math 6

On Monday, our focus will be on reviewing rational numbers.  We will review how to classifying numbers, learning about opposites of rational numbers, comparing rational numbers, ordering rational numbers, and finding the absolute value of rational numbers.  We will have a quiz on the above mentioned topics on Tuesday, 9/29.  Please use the review sheet and your notes to guide your studying.  Wednesday and Thursday will focus on reviewing for our first unit 1 test, which will be on Friday, 10/2.  It covers whole numbers, integers, and rational numbers.  Use the review sheets and your notes to help you study for the test.  When needed, extra help sessions are by appointment through Zoom.

Math 7

This week we are reviewing how to multiply and divide integers.  We will have a quiz on multiplying and dividing integers on Tuesday, 9/29.  Following the quiz, the rest of the week will focus on converting rational numbers and adding and subtracting rational numbers. When needed, extra help sessions are by appointment through Zoom.

Math 8 (Pre-Algebra)

This week we are starting a new chapter on exponents and scientific notation.  We will explore the purpose of scientific notation, how to write numbers in scientific notation, and how to convert numbers back to standard form.We will have a quiz on scientific notation on Monday, 10/5.  When needed, extra help sessions are by appointment through Zoom.

Algebra

This week we are beginning our next chapter, 3 on inequalities.  We will be learning how to solve 1 step, 2 step, and multi step inequalities and how to graph them on a number line.  We will also explore how to work through inequality word problems.  We will have a quiz on the above mentioned topics on Friday, 10/2.  When needed, extra help sessions are by appointment through Zoom.
