Math 6

This week our focus will be on rational numbers.  We will be classifying numbers, learning about opposites of rational numbers, comparing rational numbers, ordering rational numbers, and finding the absolute value of rational numbers.  At the end of the week, we will be working on a rational number math lab activity. When needed, extra help sessions are by appointment through Zoom.

Math 7

This week we are reviewing how to multiply and divide integers.  Additionally, we will explore how to use the order of operations (PEMDAS) to solve integer problems.  We are also going to be working on creating an integer timeline.  Specific instructions will be posted on the google classroom on Monday.  When needed, extra help sessions are by appointment through Zoom.

Math 8 (Pre-Algebra)

This week we will focus on solving equations with squared and cubed roots.  We will have a quiz on Wednesday, 9/23 on simplifying non-perfect square roots and solving root equations.  On Friday, 9/25, we will have our first test on Unit 1.  This covers everything that we have done pertaining to square roots since the beginning of the year.  A review packet will be done on Thursday.   When needed, extra help sessions are by appointment through Zoom.

Algebra

This week we will be exploring consecutive integer problems and transforming literal equations.  We will also be reviewing for our first chapter test, on equations, which is scheduled for Friday, 9/25.   When needed, extra help sessions are by appointment through Zoom.
