Math 6

We are continuing with our unit on percents.  We will be exploring how to convert percents to fraction, fractions to percents, percents to decimals and decimals to percents.  This week we have a quiz on the above mentioned topics on Thursday, 12/5.  We will also be working on our percent project.  The planning phase of this project will begin on Friday.  Extra help is on Mondays at 7:30 AM.

Math 7

This week we will begin our unit on solving equations.  This week our focus will on reviewing how to combine like terms and the distributive property.  This will lead us into solving 1 and 2 step equations.  There are not any quizzes this week. Extra help is on Mondays at 7:30 AM.

Pre-Algebra

We are starting a new chapter on linear equations.  So far we learned how to graph equations using a table and x and y intercepts, vertical, and horizontal lines. This week our focus will be on calculating slope. There will be a quiz on slope on Friday, 12/6.  Extra help is Mondays at 7:30 AM.

Algebra

This week we are starting a new chapter on functions.  It is chapter 4 in the textbook.  We will be covering patterns of linear and nonlinear functions, graphing and writing function rules, and domain and range.  There will be a quiz on Monday, 12/9. Extra help is by appointment.
