Math 6

We are finishing up our unit on decimals.  Students have explored different operations involving decimals and how to apply these skills to application problems.  We will have a test on Wednesday, 11/20.  Please use the review sheet to study.  Following the exam, we will be exploring how decimals are related to fractions and percents.  Extra help is on Mondays at 7:30 AM.

Math 7

This week we are continuing with our unit on percents.  We have explored how to calculate percent of increase and decrease.  We have covered how to calculate discounts and sale prices, tax, and tips, etc. We will have quiz on the above mentioned topics on Tuesday, 11/19. We will be starting a percent project in class on Wednesday, 11/20.  Be on the lookout for more information regarding this on the goggle classroom.   Extra help is on Mondays at 7:30 AM.

Pre-Algebra

We are starting a new chapter on linear equations.  We will learn how to graph equations using a table and x and y intercepts this week.  We will also be exploring the concept of slope and how to calculate it.  There are not any quizzes this week.  Extra help is Mondays at 7:30 AM.

Algebra

This week we are continuing our chapter on systems of equations.  We learned how to solve two equations using various methods such as, graphing, substitution, and elimination. This week we will be working on solving systems involving word problems and graphing linear inequalities.  There will be a quiz on word problems and graphing inequalities on Thursday, 11/21. Extra help is by appointment.
