Math 6

This week we are continuing to work on our Statistic Unit.  Thus far we have learned about measures of center, measures of variation, and how to construct a box and whisker plot.  This week our focus will be on constructing histograms and dot plots.  We will have an exam on the above mentioned topics on Thursday or Friday of this week.  Extra help is on Mondays at 7:30 AM.

Math 7

This week we are beginning our unit on 2-D Geometry.  We will be finishing up our scale drawing projects, as well as exploring angle relationships involving complementary and supplementary angles.  We will also learn how to calculate circumference and area of circles.  There are not any exams or quizzes this week. Extra help is on Mondays at 7:30 AM.

Pre-Algebra

Our next chapter focuses on solving systems of equations.  We will be learning three methods to do so.  First, graphing and then substitution and elimination.  This will lead us to solving systems of equations involving word problems.  There are not any tests or quizzes this week.   Extra help is Mondays at 7:30 AM.

Algebra

We are now beginning chapter 7.  This chapter covers exponential functions.  We will explore growth rates, factors and exponential decay.  There are not any tests or quizzes this week.  Extra help is by appointment.
