Dear Parents,

If you have not already done so, please send in a package of index cards for us to use to make sight word flash cards. We will work on one each week to make a packet for your child to take home at the end of the year to practice for kindergarten.

This week at a glance:

Monday– Library

Tuesday– Art, Bird’s Nest Paper Plate

Wednesday– Spanish

Friday– Computer

Curriculum:

We will be beginning a new theme, Nature All Around Us. In this week’s unit, How Do Plants Grow, we will be reviewing letters A-X and numbers 1-19. We will be learning the letter Yy this week and number 20. We will be reading books including: “What the Sun Sees/What the Moon Sees”, “Counting in the Garden” and “How Does Your Salad Grow?” In addition, we will be working on various art projects in the classroom involving various flowers as well as Easter.

Jesus Time: We will continue to practice the Lord’s Prayer and we will be going to chapel on Wednesday. We will also be discussing Easter and reading books about the coming of Easter.

I will be sending homework packets out on Monday which will be due by Friday. If you have any questions or concerns, please reach out to me through the class dojo or via email [email protected].

Have a wonderful week!
