Hello Parents,
I hope everyone enjoyed the beautiful weekend. Please sign up for a 15 minute time slot for parent teacher conferences next week. Also, we are riding tricycles in the small gym each day, please send in a bicycle helmet for your child to wear.
We are continuing our theme called, Awesome Animals. The second unit is entitled, Animal Homes.
BIG Idea: Animals have a home just like me. Knowledge Focus: Children learn about life science through the exploration of animals and animal life cycles. Social-Emotional Focus: Attention
This week we will be reviewing letters A-M, numbers 1-13, and all the shapes that we have learned. We will be learning the letter Nn this week and the number 14. I am also beginning to step up the independence in an effort to prepare the children for kindergarten. I have changed around their cubbies in order to reinforce their knowledge of their names and in addition, I will be having the children sign in on a sheet each morning. We are also beginning to learn sight words.

Please send in any communications, money, etc. INSIDE your child’s folder inside of placing it loosely in their backpacks.
Pizza envelopes will be sent home on Monday this week and are due back Wednesday/Thursday morning the latest.
Please dress your child with clothing appropriate for the weather, we will be going out twice a day unless it is raining or the temperature drops below 40 degrees. Also for safety reasons, please have your child wear sneakers.
Please remove any papers that come home in your child’s folder daily, some are time sensitive.
