Alleluia! Christ is risen! He is risen indeed! Alleluia! I hope your Easter was filled with many blessings.

READING- In Lesson 19 the essential question is, “What kinds of things could happen on a hike?” To help us answer the question we will read and discuss the stories, Nicky and the Rainy Day, Sheep Take a Hike, The Three Billy Goats Gruff and The Builder and the Oni. Our high frequency words are, go, here, soon, for, they, and up. The class will continue blending sounds with medial short “a” and “i” and identify our new “d” sound. We will continue to do sentence building, identifying antonyms, and read the stories, Go For It, and “D” is for Dad, in our Readers.

MATH- Our focus in Math will be how to identify, name, and describe triangles, rectangles, and hexagons.

RELIGION- We will continue to discuss the story of Christ’s death and resurrection using our Resurrection Eggs.

SCIENCE/SOCIAL STUDIES- Earth Day was April 22 and the students will discuss the importance of saving our Earth from pollution and how everyone can become involved.

HANDWRITING- The students will practice writing capital and lower case “G-g” and “J-j.”
