READING- Our essential question is, “What do animals do when the weather changes?” To help us answer the question the class will read and discuss the stories, Storm is Coming, and Snow. Our high frequency words are, “with” and “my.” We will continue to blend sounds to read new words along with learning to hear the initial and final “n” sound in words. Our comprehension skills will be understanding characters and drawing conclusions. In grammar the students will identify the verb in a sentence.

MATH- Our focus will be on the term “take apart” in connection with subtraction. We will also, problem solve by “acting out” and modeling and drawing subtraction problems.

RELIGION- Our next Bible story is “Jesus Turns Water into Wine.”

SCIENCE- The class will discuss the three forms of water, liquid, solid and gas, and learn about the groundhog.

HANDWRITING- Our next letter is “A-a.”
