I hope that everyone enjoyed their Christmas and have enjoyed the start of a great new year! This will be the first week of school in 2020. We will be focusing on getting back into school routines. We will also discuss the season of winter and learn about the changes this new season brings. During Jesus time, we will learn the story of “The Three Kings”. We have some new play centers. We have magna tiles in blocks, a doctor’s office in dramatic play and fake snow in sensory. We will also be exploring winter math manipulatives like creating snowflakes with pattern blocks.
Beginning next week, we will start teaching the alphabet. We will take two letters a week to explore. We will also continue to work on pencil grasp and pre writing activities to get ready to write the alphabet.
