Welcome to Mrs. Flomer’s class notes!
Spelling- The new words for lesson 28 are: my, try, sky, by, fly, dry, pie, cried, night, light, across, second, should, large. Children should write the words 3x each by this Wednesday and sentences by next Tuesday. The test on list 28 will be given on Friday, 6/1. No test this week.
Language Arts- We will begin lesson 28 and read the story “The Kite”. The children will learn the sound/spelling for words with long i spelling patterns: igh, y and ie. Study the “R book” words!
Due to the Spring Musical this week, days off for Memorial Day, and a class trip next Thursday, the tests for lesson 28 will be given next Friday (12/1) for reading and spelling.
Math- 2-D Geometry
Science- Test this Thursday on Unit 4. Study sheets were sent home last week.
Social Studies- Our Constitution
Religion- God Blesses Us; God is Great
Weekly Reader- Dolphins
1AA News
Our Spring Musical is this Tuesday evening at 7 pm. Please bring children to the classroom at 6:40 wearing their Sunday best. The children have been working hard on learning their songs. You are in for a real treat!
I will be sending home the last Scholastic book order for this year. There are more flyers to view online as many children are able to read higher leveled books this summer! Books may be ordered online or you may send the form and payment to school.
School is closed on Friday and Monday in observance of Memorial Day. Come see our Marching Band participate in the Hicksville parade on Monday!
