Welcome to Mrs. Flomer’s class notes!
Here’s a look at what we will be doing this week!
Spelling- The words for this week are: chin, chop, much, chip, rich, chick. The “R” book words are: been, brown, know, never, off, out, own, very. The children will write their words 3x each for homework by Tuesday. They should write 3 sentences by Thursday. The test will be on Friday.
Phonics- ch and –tch words
Language Arts- possessives
Reading: We will read the story How Leopard got his Spots. The children will read it again at home. There will be a Reading test on Friday.
Math- Related facts; making numbers to 20; equal and not equal
Science- Light
Social Studies- Our Earth
1AA News
We will be having a Christmas luncheon just for the children (in K, 1st and 2nd) on Thursday, 12/19. The class moms will be asking for volunteers to send in items. Please see the special notice that was sent home last week about sending in a wrapped book for your child (due this Friday).
The children have been working hard getting ready for the Christmas Musical, which will be performed next Tuesday evening (12/17) at 7 pm. Mr. DeVries will send more information home soon.
Send in your child’s pizza money by Thursday morning.
