Welcome to Mrs. Flomer’s class notes!
Here’s a look at what we will be doing this week!
Spelling- The words for this week are: up, bug, mud, nut, hug, tub. The “R” book words are: friend, hold, full, many, good, pull. The children will write their words 3x each for homework. All 12 words will count on the test from now on. The test will be on Friday. I have been sending home the “S” book on Fridays, but the homework is not due until Wednesdays (Thursday this week because of Columbus Day). Some children (or parents) might like to get the words done over the weekend when there is more free time!
Phonics- short u, qu, z sounds
Language Arts- adjectives; synonyms
Reading: fantasy
We will read the story Gus takes the Train. The children will read it again at home. There will be a Reading test on Friday.
Math- adding in any order; doubles
Social Studies- rules at school; culture

Our Star of the Week is Joseph Samuel!
There is no school on Monday in observance of Columbus Day.
Please remember to send in the class party money!
Send in your child’s pizza money by Thursday morning.
