Spelling- There are no new words this week. When we return from Christmas break, the children will be writing 5 sentences for their spelling words.
Reading: We will not be starting a new story this week. We will be doing some Christmas reading comprehension activities. No reading test this week.
Math- continue with chapter 5:
related facts; problem solving; facts to 20
I will be giving a test on chapter 5 on Friday so that all the concepts we have learned are fresh in the their minds, before we have a 2 week Christmas break. We will then start chapter 6 after the break.

The children are so excited to perform the Christmas musical for all the families on Tuesday evening. Please bring your child to the classroom at 6:40 pm.
Our Christmas luncheon for the children is Thursday. You do not have to send in lunch that day, as we will have lunch and snacks at the party. We will be making crafts that day too. Please remember to send in the wrapped “item” if you have not already done so. Thank you to all!
The children should wear dress clothes to school on Thursday for our party.
Please send in your child’s Christmas cards for his/her classmates by Thursday 12/19.
