Welcome to Mrs. Flomer’s class notes!
Here’s a look at what we will be doing this week!
Spelling- The new words for this week are: how, now, cow, owl, ouch, house, found, out, gown, town, family, myself, please, school. The children will write their spelling words 3x each for homework by Tuesday. They should write 10 sentences (or a story) due by Thursday. Spelling Test will be on Friday.
Phonics- ou, ow, oi, oy, au, aw words
Language Arts- contractions
Reading: We will read the story, The New Friend. The children will read the story again at home. There will be Reading tests on Friday.
Math- Test Tuesday on chapter 10. Practice test will be given on Monday.
We will then begin chapter 11- Geometry
Science- Plants
Social Studies- Test Thursday on Unit 4 (book 4); book was sent home last week. Please review the vocabulary words.
Weekly Reader- Plant parts
Religion- bible stories
1AA News
Uniform shorts may be worn for the rest of the school year. Sneakers may be worn only with the uniform shorts.
Thank you to all who sent in the Planetarium permission slips and $2. Please send it in soon if you have not already done so.
