I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving!
Here’s a look at what we will be doing this week!
Spelling- The words for the lesson 9 are: yes, ten, let, red, bed, get. The new vocabulary (“R” book) words are: after, read, draw, was, pictures, write. The children will write all 10 spelling words 3x each for homework by Tuesday. There will be a Spelling test on Friday. We will soon be writing sentences for our spelling words, when the third trimester begins. I will start out slowly!
Phonics- short e, blends with s
Language Arts- singular and plural nouns
Reading: The story this week is “Dr. Seuss”. The tests for lesson 9 will be given on Friday.
Math- Chapter 4-Subtraction
Religion- Daily devotions and bible stories
Social Studies- Our Earth- How people change land
Weekly Reader- Winter Woods animals

Our Star of the Week is Evelyn!
As the weather gets colder, please make sure your child has enough warm outerwear (and girls have their legs covered) as we try to go out often to give the children a chance to run around!
Scholastic book orders are due this Wednesday, 11/28! It will be the only order before Christmas. You can order online or send your order to school with your payment.
