Welcome to Mrs. Flomer’s class notes!
Here’s a look at what we will be doing this week!
Spelling- There will be no new spelling words since it is a short week. We will be working on spelling words associated with Thanksgiving. There will not be a test this week.
Language Arts- We will begin lesson 8 after the Thanksgiving weekend. This week we will work on reading comprehension stories about the Pilgrims. No tests this week.
Math- Subtraction strategies
Religion- Thank you, God
Social Studies- technology
Weekly Reader- First Thanksgiving
1AA News
On Wednesday, 11/21, we will have a school wide Thanksgiving feast. Special desserts will be served in the classroom following the feast. Thank you to our class moms for all their help, and to those who are helping to serve!!
Our Turkey Trot will take place after the feast for all the students who are participating.
I enjoyed meeting with each and every one of you at parent/teacher conferences! Thank you for all of your input, and please contact me if you would like to meet again at any time during the school year. If your conference was cancelled on Thursday evening due to the weather, please send me an email to let me know if you are available before (7:45) or after school (3:15) any day next week.
I would like to wish all of you a very happy, blessed Thanksgiving. We all have so much to be thankful for. I am very thankful for my wonderful first grade students!
