Christmas is coming! We lit the second candle of advent and reflected on how we are preparing for Christ’s coming at Christmas. We are hard at work preparing for Christmas in our classroom.
We continue to explore topics based on a gingerbread and a Christmas theme. We will finish our life sized gingerbread friends, make a holiday card and design photo ornaments. We will continue to enjoy a gingerbread baking and sensory play centers. We will sing the “Five Little Gingerbread Men” finger play while looking at a gingerbread ten square. We will also learn about the holy family and play with a Little People nativity set.
This Wednesday at 9:30 a.m., we will have our Christmas Show followed by a breakfast in the MPR. Santa will be paying the visit to the breakfast. A big thank you to all the parents who volunteered to donate to our breakfast. We appreciate your generosity! Please drop off your supplies in the MPR before the show on Wednesday. All full day Wednesday students may return to class afterwards for the remainder of the school day.
We are exploring Christmas traditions in class. If anyone would like to share their families’ special traditions with the class, please contact Mrs. Pepitone. We would love to represent a variety of different cultures and traditions in our classroom.
