In celebration of Dr. Seuss’ birthday, we will participate in Read Across America week. This week we celebrate the work of Dr. Seuss- a talented, unique and inspiring children’s book author/illustrator. We will enjoy a variety of zany stories all written by Dr. Seuss. We will create Cat in the Hat name hats, Wocket writing projects and crafts, and Red Fish, Blue Fish Art in watercolor. There will be goldfish math games to play at circle time inspired by the Dr. Seuss’ book, Red Fish, Blue Fish. One Fish, Two Fish. We will write and share silly stories and even get to enjoy a wacky Dr. Seuss inspired snack on Friday.
In addition, Monday, we will get a special visit from a Dentist from Kidds Smiles in Syosset. We will learn more about our teeth. We also will discuss letters L and M. In the science area, we will observe as our grass seed and garden beans beginning to sprout.
The ECC Rodeo gym show will be held on March 27th. Please mark your calendars. Practice for the show begins this week.
