St. Patrick is the patron saint of Ireland.  His story is strongly linked to the history and culture of the Irish people.  This week we will explore Irish culture, as we get ready to celebrate St. Patrick’s day in class.  Activities this week include mixing yellow and blue puff paint to create a puffy green shamrock, reading stories about giants and leprechauns, preforming shamrock fingerplays, baking Irish soda bread, counting gold coins and writing our own stories about the adventures of leprechauns.  We will also continue to practice for our ECC Rodeo Show.  We will introduce letters N and O.  We will also observe and care for our vegetable plants growing on the windowsill.

Trinity Lutheran is closed this Friday for professional development.
