What a great week we had last week! The Nursery Christmas program and breakfast was wonderful. The children worked very hard getting ready for the program and they did a wonderful job. Thank you to everyone who helped out or donated to our breakfast.
This week is filled with more exciting Christmas fun! We are mixing, rolling, shaping and baking gingerbread cookies. We will later decorate these cookies, then take some home and eat some for snack.
Don’t forget to wear your pajamas on Wednesday and Thursday! The children may also bring in a small stuffed animal to cuddle with. We will watch Disney’s “Prep and Landing” and “Prep and Landing 2”. We will also decorate cookies and enjoy a special snack of hot chocolate and gingerbread men.
We have lite the third candle of advent and are reflecting on how Christmas brings us love. We also continue to learn about the “True Story of Christmas”. We will continue reading a variety of classic Christmas stories and sing traditional Christmas carols including “The Twelve Days of Christmas”, “Silent Night” and “A long Time Ago in Bethlehem”.
