Praying that you and your families are enjoying the Winter Break and will return to school with renewed energy.

JESUS’ TIME:  Jesus grew into His Ministry through His Baptism, temptations, and calling helpers to come with Him.  So to He calls us to be His children.

SCIENCE:  Explaining shadows; light; and healthy living through good foods, exercise, and rest.

SOCIAL STUDIES:  First we celebrated the Asian New Year through foods, stories, and red envelopes.
Second, we are learning about people who help us–the letter carrier (We even mailed the Valentines we made), and the dentist who will be visiting us this week.  Third, we learned about historical figures found in Abraham Lincoln, George Washington and all those who continue to work to set us all free–Harriet Tubman, Rosa Parks, George Washington Carver, and many more.

MUSIC:  The Instruments of the orchestra through the opera, PETER AND THE WOLF  were amazing.

ART:  Easel painting, creating valentines, mail sacks, and place mats all add to a child’s creativity.

LITERACY:  Using the food groups, meat, vegetables, and fruit we continued to practice letter and sound recognition and have read many stories using them.

MATH:  We are reviewing our numbers, 1-10 while working on the numbers 13-20 along with using positional words:  yesterday, today, and tomorrow.

May our Lord continue to rest His hand gently upon you in the coming days!
