Welcome back!
This week we continue our literacy unit on creativity with the topic “Things we Build”. We will read the Three Little Pigs, White Rabbit’s Color Book, Buildings, and Alphabet Under Construction. During center time we will have an opportunity to build with Legos, Lincoln Logs, and wooden blocks.
Our math this week will focus on shapes as we see what shapes we can build with blocks. We will also review number 16.
This week is also Read Across America, a week to celebrate the literature of Dr. Seuss. We will read several of his books this week.
On Wednesday we will have a visit from the dentist as February is dental health month. We will learn about healthy habits for our teeth.
On Wednesday we will also go to chapel. This month our topic for Jesus time will be prayer, and we will learn the Lord’s prayer.
On Friday we will get to sing and dance along as the Singing School Bus Driver comes for a visit.
