We are starting a new theme this week “Nature All Around Us”. I am very excited about this new unit and all of the activities that will follow. The first topic we will cover is “How Do Plants Grow?” We will read the books Growing Vegetable Soup, What the Sun Sees/What the Moon Sees, and Counting in the Garden.
During Jesus time we will be focusing on the events leading up to Easter including Palm Sunday and the Last Supper. We will have chapel this Wednesday.
Our letter this week is W. We will learn a W song and read a W story. We will also make a W is for Worm project. We have also begun reviewing the alphabet by brainstorming words for the letters we have already done so far this year.
We have been working hard on our small motor skills with many cutting and gluing activities.
As we work on our nature unit, we will begin to create a beautiful flower garden in the hallway. Be on the look out for Pussy Willows, Hyacinths, and Forsythias in the coming weeks.
