Wow! It’s December already… Here’s what’s going on…
ELA: Journey’s passage “Quest for the Tree Kangaroo’. Vocabulary and comprehension on test Friday.
Grammar: verbs, helping verbs. On test Friday.
Spelling: Test Friday.
Literature: We are reading The Tiger Rising. It’s a wonderful book about healing and friendship. Test upon completion.
Writing: We are writing letters to Santa to tell him the real meaning of Christmas. We will be exploring cause and effect in the book How the Grinch Stole Christmas.
Math: Chapter 4: Multiplying Decimals. Quiz 12/9. Test 12/10
S.S. Chpater 8 Test 12/10. Foldable will be graded as quiz.
Science: Unit 4: Test 12/20. We will be completing a number of STEM activities with ‘Chritmas’items.
Religion: Verse test 12/4. Matthew 1:21 We are discussing advent and the true meaning of Christmas. We are trying hard to keep Jesus in front of us during this beautiful season.

I have been reading various verses to remind myself of Jesus this week. One that sticks with me is: ‘He shall be great, and shall be called the SOn of the Most High.” Luke 1:32
Wow, this verse says it all. It reminds me that God is great. Even in the times I forget He is there or don’t really trust him with my whole heart. Jesus is the Son of God, He is all power and merciful. It’s super that we can celebrate such a wonderful God.
