Week of 2/25 – 3/1/19

ECC — preschool students will be learning about the French artist Georges Seurat and his style of painting called pointillism (DOTS, DOTS, and more DOTS!)

Kindergarten — students will be finishing up their Jungle Gym Paper Sculptures

Gr. 1 — will be starting a Bird’s Nest Mixed Media Collage using such materials as const. paper, yarn, newspaper, string, twigs and colored paper scraps

Gr. 2 — will be taking a tour of all the crosses they can find in our own Trinity Lutheran Church then they will sketch their favorite with all its details

Gr. 3 — this class will finish up their Stained Glass project

Gr. 4 — will be finishing up their Fresco Painting (just like the artist they studied, Michelangelo!)

Gr. 5 — these students are still working on their Creative Creatures project (combining different types of animal parts to create their very own creature and its habitat)

Gr. 6 –this is their last class to finish their Magazine Mosaic and I must say they look Wonderful!

Gr. 7 — it’s all about WEAVING for the next few weeks as seventh grade students get creative using yarn color combinations to create a beautiful, little mug rug of their own

Gr. 8 — classes will be learning about the artist G. O’Keefe as they start drawing VERY LARGE sized flowers and use chalk pastels for color, shading and details

ART ELECTIVE students are smoothing down the bumpy areas of their paper mache sculptures before they start painting
