This Week in Art

ECC Classes:  We are painting Monet’s pond depicting reflection of light in the water.

Kindergarten:  This class will be finishing up their Autumn drawings by adding color with crayons and tissue crumbles glued to their trees.

Gr. 1:  Fall Reflections/We will analyze the reflection of colors from the sky onto the ground and in the water in the season of Fall.

Gr. 2:  We are just adding some finishing touches to our Autumn Activity drawings with colorful Fall crayon colors and sponge painting leaves.

Gr. 3:  In the style of artist Faith Ringgold we are designing quilt patterns to “warm up” our Favorite Family Memory drawings.

Gr. 4:  This class will preview a YouTube video entitled “360 Sunsets” as inspiration for their drawings of land and seascapes using chalk pastels.

Gr. 5:  This will be our last class to finish up our “Candy Corn Characters” (assorted assemblage collages).

Gr. 6:  We are still in the process of drawing the main figure in our “Falling for Foreshortening” pictures.

Gr. 7: We will be adding details with fine markers to finish up our Tissue Paper Collages this week.

Gr. 8:  We will be learning about the artist E. Munsh and his famous “Scream” painting.  Then the students will draw their own figures depicting something that evokes fear in them.

ART Elective:  This week we start taping up our letters to create three-dimensional Initials.  Then it’s on to paper mache to coat and smooth out the structures.

Keep Creating and Enjoy Your Week!
