Welcome to 4th Grade!  I’m so happy to see the faces of students in person and at home.  We are all part of the same class no matter what the learning environment is.  Let’s begin the school year with patience as we are all “learning a new way of learning.”  We are jumping right into our academics this week.  All students and parents should contact me via email with any questions or concerns.

WEEK: September 14 – 18

READING:  “Because of Winn Dixie”

GRAMMAR: simple, complete, and compound subjects and predicates

WRITING: Best thing about the summer writing assignment

MATH: place value, reading and writing numbers, comparing and ordering, rounding

SOCIAL STUDIES: Chapter 1, Lesson 1 New York’s Regions; Lesson 2 Rivers and Lakes

SCIENCE: Human Machine Unit “Why do your biceps bulge?”

RELIGION:  Bible verse; Max Lucado, “You Were Made to Make A Difference”

  • Students should accept the invitation of all specials area teachers to join their Google Classrooms.
  • In-person learners must bring their Chrome book to school each day.
