March Madness is underway and the 4th graders have enjoyed some basketball and college themed activities.

We are also immersed in our Civil War chapter in Social Studies.  Students are going to be working on projects about key figures from the time period.

WEEK: March 25-29

SPELLING: dentist, final, finish, narrow, shelter, ahead, corner, hollow, divide, famous, recent, silver, capture, cabin, dinner, minus, minute, value, reward, broken Challenge words: decent, secure, standard, frontier

READING: “I Could Do That!”; Vocabulary: politics, intelligent, disorderly, approve, polls, legislature, amendment, candidates, informed, denied

GRAMMAR: contractions with not; using negatives

WRITING: writing an explanation

MATH: multiplying fractions by mixed number

SOCIAL STUDIES: Test on Chapter 8

SCIENCE: Unit 7 Lesson 2 Explorations 1 & 2 Rocks and Fossils

TESTS this week
