As March gets under way, I am planning some fun activities throughout the month with relation to the NCAA College Basketball Tournament.  Students will be researching colleges in Computer class and making pennants with the information that they gather.  We will be looking at game scores and incorporating math operations and fractions to make graphs of team records.  As a class, we will read about the history of the sport of basketball and the students will write a report about the changes in the game throughout the years.  Of course we will also be following the college teams on their journey through the tournament until the championship game on April 8th.  This month is always fun in the 4th grade!
