Veteran Day is being celebrated on Monday, and we have the day off. Please remember the veterans who serve and protect our country.

Math

We are beginning Chapter 4.  It will cover multiplication.  We are beginning multiplication in Xtramath this week. We are also making Flash Cards to review math facts each night. Taking the time to memorize multiplication facts in 3rd grade is so important to your child’s success in Math in future grades. Please review them nightly.

 

ELA

I will be giving all ELA tests this week including  Comprehension, Grammar, and Vocabulary. We are having the test on Friday.

Social Studies

We are learning about the branches of government. We will be focusing on Mexico and learning about the United States at the same time.

 

Religion

We are studying how we learn and use God’s word.  We will also be learning about different tools to help us understand the Bible. The religion memory for the rest of the school year is located on the previous blog.  I have also included the link here Third Grade Memory Work and due dates. Our Wednesday test is on The First Commandment and its meaning.
