Week 13

“Believe you can and you’re halfway there.” – Theodore Roosevelt

Welcome back from Thanksgiving break. I hope everyone had a wonderful time with family and friends, and maybe even got in some shopping.

Thank you to everyone who helped out during the The Thanksgiving Feast. It was a huge success.

Mr. DeVries has sent home a notice on costumes for our upcoming school play. Please make sure that you received a copy. Additionally, students should be working on memorizing lines.

Math

We are continuing with multiplication in Chapter 4. Our Chapter test will be on Wednesday. In class we are also working with Xtramath.com. Additionally, we have added fluency practice to our daily homework. One minute timed tests started last week, and we will continue with 10 as a factor on Tuesday and 5 as a factor on Thursday. Taking the time to memorize multiplication facts in 3rd grade is so important to your child’s success in Math in future grades. Please review them nightly.

We are having our ELA tests on Friday, November 30th. They will include Comprehension, Vocabulary, Grammar, and Spelling.

You shall not misuse the name of the Lord your God.
