The Turkey Trot is on Wednesday, November 27th. It would be fantastic if 100% of our class participated in this worthy fundraiser supporting Lutheran Social Services New Life Center. It costs $3.00 to participate, and it’s a lot of fun!

Mr. DeVries has been rehearsing with students for our Christmas Show. There are songs and lines to be memorized. Please check with your child to make sure it is getting done.

Math
We are taking a quiz on the first half of chapter 4. We will be multiplying be 2,3,4,5,6, and 10. We will also cover the Distributive Property of Multiplication. Taking the time to memorize multiplication facts in 3rd grade is so important to your child’s success in Math in future grades. Please review them nightly.
ELA
We are finish The One and Only Ivan this week, and then we will return to our Journeys textbook for The Kamishibai Man.
We are having our Grammar and Spelling tests on Friday, November 22nd. Our Vocabulary and Comprehension Tests will be on Tuesday, November 26th.

We are finishing up Mexico and will be doing a in class project. The Class Project (Travel Poster) will be test grade.
Religion
We are studying how we learn and use God’s word. We will also be learning about different tools to help us understand the Bible. I have also included the link here Third Grade Memory Work and due dates. Our Wednesday test is on Matthew 28:19.
