2 things updated!

  1. There are many terrific spellers in our class, and I have added the following advanced words to their spelling list: maintenance, vacuum, and restaurant.
  2. On the paperwork that went home regarding the Extra Effort Opportunity Country Report, I said the report is due on Tuesday, February 26th. Well, February 26th is Wednesday. So, with that said, reports can be handed in for full credit on Wednesday.   I am so sorry for the confusion.

Have a great week!

Week 24

“The secret of getting ahead, is getting started.” – Mark Twain

Welcome back! I hope everyone enjoyed the winter break. The weather was beautiful. Do you think it is possible that we will get through winter without any snow days? It is looking more and more like that.

The Extra Effort Country Reports are due on Tuesday. We are going to be presenting them in the afternoon. If your child wants to bring in a treat from his or her country, please let me know so I can plan accordingly. I’m looking forward to seeing what everyone has learned!

Next Monday, March 2nd, is Read Across America Day! It’s an exciting day for reading! Students can bring in their favorite stuffed animals and/or cozy pillows to snuggle up with while they read! We will also be visiting the Scholastic Book Fair in the morning.  It is a very special day celebrating READING!!!
