This Week in Art

ECC Classes — We will be gluing in all the pieces to our Nativity Scenes and sprinkling glitter on the shining star.

Kindergarten — this week we will finish coloring our manger scenes

Gr. 1 — It’s time to adder glitter, lace and a shiny halo to our Angel projects.

Gr. 2 — Some of us need to finish printing our Spongepaint Poinsettia project this week.

Gr. 3 — This class will be using watercolors to make a beautiful Christmas ornament picture.

Gr. 4 — We will be using the Warm and Cool Color Code to color in our Cubist style angel pictures.

Gr. 5 — This week we will add a beautiful pattern of holes by pounding nails into our cut pie tin angel candle holder project.

Gr. 6 — Sixth graders will start a unit on Portraiture this week.  They will then be assigned a partner to draw each other’s portraits.

Gr. 7 — This class we be creating a Split Face Self Portrait, half a realistic pencil drawing and the other half replaces facial features with symbols/images that depict their hobbies or interests.  The second half reveals how they see themselves or describes their personalities.

Gr. 8 — We start a unique printing project entitled Fingerprint Frenzy. This project requires the students to strategically print fingerprints to create a comic strip or action picture.  Details are added to the fingerprints to create a realistic scene.

Art Elective Trimester II Class — We will create Christmas ornaments using assorted assemblage materials.
